I’m finally almost finished with my outfit!!! It’s only taken me a few months, but now all that’s left is promo images and adding some adjustment morphs. This is a preview of one of the textures that will be included with the texture add-on.

I hope you like it!!! Let me know what you think!!!

This is an alternate version of my “Way of the Sword” image. I say alternate because I did the other one first, but the truth is, this is more the image I had in my minds eye when I created the other one. For the original image I didn’t want to take the time to deal with the dress…

I actually made this dress a couple years ago for the “Miss Renderosity 2014” contest’s round 2. I did alter the dress for this  image, I cut a slit in it, otherwise it’s pretty much just been collecting digital dust all this time.

Around the same time as that contest, I did do an experimental animation with soft body and cloth dynamics where I used this dress. I just haven’t finished rendering it yet, LOL!!! Now that I’ve opened the file back up, I’m thinking about finishing rendering it out and uploading it. It just takes over an hour a second to render and the animation is 71 seconds long… I’m a little concerned how much my electric bill would be… I need to set up a hydroelectric system…

Magic In The Mirrior
I wanted to try something a little different with this render. I was going for kind of a “dark” feel. I didn’t really have much of an idea of what I wanted to do when I got started. I kind of just threw some stuff together and all the sudden I was liking it, LOL!

Usually I spend way too much time tweaking my characters, but in this scene I simply put the scene together using G3F. Then, to be honest, the only full body character morph support I’ve gotten built into my Superhero Bodysuit outfit so far is Eva. So, I dialed her in and she seemed to do the trick for me. Changed her face and chest a little, and that was it.

I hope you like the way it turned out!

Green Eyed Beauty

I recently picked up this dress (Nadia Outfit HD for Genesis 3 Female(s)) and wanted to use it in a render. I didn’t really put much thought into the look on her face. It simply worked for me, so I rolled with it. To me, it looks like she just spotted a guy she thinks is cute and the camera snapped while she had just a little of that “deer in headlights” look on her face.

I also put a spotlight pointed at her located to the right of the camera. It makes her artificially brighter than she should would be realistically. I think it might help her pop out of the scene a little bit. I wish I could say that was clever planning, but it actually happened by accident. I originally set her, the camera and the light up in a different environment that needed that spotlight there for other reasons…

Anyway, I hope you like it!

I thought it might be interesting to starting putting the render times in here:

Render time: 1 hour, 6 minutes and 13.75 seconds.

Way of the Sword

I can’t really think of anything to say about this image 🙁 maybe I haven’t had enough caffeine, or alcohol, those usually make me more vocal. Other then that I guess I can mention her outfit is my latest creation. It’s a superhero outfit I’ve been working on for a while. Right now I’m working on making a mask to go with the suit and playing with different color schemes.

Oh yeah, I also kind of think maybe I should have went with a katana. I guess I’ll have to do another, more graceful, variation of this image sometime.

I hope you like the image!

Born Ready

This is my attempt at an “Anime” like style render using IRay. Not sure if I really pulled it off, or not…

What do you think of her outfit? I’ve been working on it for the last few of months. It was really a challenge to get the mesh to behave properly and create custom fits for so many characters. I’m excited (and relieved) that it’s finally to the point where I can use it in renders! It’s supposed to be super tight and conforming. I would call it a comic book style outfit.

Anyway, I hope you like my render!!

I got this new character, Jazmine, and wanted to do a render of her. Since the hair I chose for her has kind of an Asian feel to it, I decided to throw in a little bit of Mei Lin 7’s face into the mix. Hope you like it!

Flames 01 Freebie

Sorry for the delay, but here it is!!! Better late then never, plus it’s free, so that should help make up for it right?

Flames 01*

Just extract the files to the root folder of your Daz 3D Library and you should be good to go. Load the prop into your scene, re-size and position to your liking, then render away. You can also load in multiple instances, spin them around, etc. to add more variation.

The flames are set up with an emissive shader, so if you load them into your scene and it throws off your lighting make sure to tweak the emissive settings in the surfaces tab.

When rendering the flames make sure to play around with your camera’s Depth of Field, and/or the Render Settings Bloom filter. You can really get some cool looking effects! Messing with the “Cutout Opacity” value of the shader, under the surfaces tab, also seemed like it had potential.

I hope you enjoy rendering with them! Please leave a link to any images you create with the flames in the comments below. It would be really cool to see what you come up with! Also, let me know if you like them, or not…
