I thought it would be fun to do an image of Red Sonja. I mean, who doesn’t love a sexy redhead?

I’ll probably do another image of her someday; I couldn’t quite get the look I wanted for her using morphs alone. This weekend just flew by for meh, otherwise I would have fired up good ol’ ZBrush. That will have to be a project for another day.

I was hesitant to want to include her parameters tab, simply because I used so many morphs for her, I didn’t want to take the time to cut and paste the images together to build out the full list… Not really sure if people are even interested anyway lol. Thinking out loud now: Maybe I should set up Google Analytics to keep track of how many people look at them…

I just got this new monitor yesterday,  an ASUS PB278Q. It’s like a whole new world. Colors pop like whoa. I bought it because I wanted a monitor with 100% sRGB color and a flicker free screen. That flicker caused by pulse-width modulation (PWM) was really starting to ware me out.

I had this dope ROG Swift PG278Q Gaming Monitor, that I really liked, but it didn’t have as wide of color gamut range and suffered from PWM when the brightness is turned down. The first thing I do when I get a monitor is turn the brightness all the way down… And honestly, I know I have sensitive eyes, but I feel like they’re still too bright. I don’t know what’s the deal.

Anyway… I’m writing this because now looking back at my gallery, some of my images are darker than I intended… With my old monitor, because I had the brightness turned all the way down, I figured if it didn’t seem like washed out blackness dark to me, that it would most likely be bright enough for other people to see the details as well. Now I’m not so sure…

I’m hoping people would be willing to comment and let me know what they think? Yes, I’m talking to you 😉

One of my watchers wanted to see more of this character. You know who you are! 😉 It wasn’t hard to convince me to do another render of her, since I really like her look too.

There’s not really much of a story behind this image. I’ve been working on this swimsuit for the last few months now and was putting together some promo images when I came up with this one. I don’t know if it will actually make it as a promo image, since Daz has become more strict on how much booty you can show these days… But, I guess I’m like a Pit Bull Terrier, always constantly testing to see what I can get away with. Haha j/k… Maybe…

Plus, people need to know what the back of the suit looks like before they buy anyway, right?

Anyway, back to talking about the image… The background is a picture I took when I was in Quintana Roo, Mexico a few years ago. It’s a beautiful place, I highly recommend going there! I don’t think the lighting in the picture quite matches up with the lighting in the scene. But, as they say, it’s close enough for government work. I used the hidden face bones again to put the final touches on her expression. I mostly used them to tweak around her lips and eyes.

I think that’s pretty much the gist of it.

This is another great pose idea my wife stumbled upon. If I had more “angelic” like wings I probably would have used them, but I think I was able to accomplish what I was going for with the cyber wings. I’m not sure what happened to her real wings, and why she now has cyber wings, but that could make a great story for another day.

Now the question becomes, is she evil? Or, is she good? What do you think? I think I basically came up with her story in the time it took for me to type this out :-). Leave your opinion in the comments below!

This is another render of Lynx, with some extra morphs dialed in. When I put together the original Terminally Pretty this is an alternative pose and camera angle I came up with.

I used ZBrush R7 to sculpt the character from Daz 3D’s Victoria 7.

While working on a character for one of my last images I ended up dialing in this face that I thought would look good as an Elf. So, I added some Elf ears and found this outfit that seemed like it would be perfect for a sexy Elf mage.

This scene is supposed to be taking place at late sunset. I enabled subsurface scattering (SSS) on the crystal of the staff, added a point light at it’s center, and turned on a little bit of blue translucency to make it look like it’s glowing and providing light as she explores the ruins.

It might be because I started playing Elder Scrolls Online again, but I also feel inspired to create an Orc character, which I’m actually pretty excited about. I plan on sculpting her in ZBrush instead of using morphs inside Daz Studio, which is always challenging and fun. Let’s hope she turns out well! 🙂 It will most likely be a few weeks before I have any pix of the Orc done, just an FYI.

I recently got some comments on a character I did not too long ago and it made me want to use her in a render. This is Lynx, a character I sculpted from Victoria 7 for Zombi-Horde. You can read the rest of the story here. If you saw my last image, it seems I’m on a little bit of a “vigilante” kick.

I think it might have been inspired by Pix Blaze, a character created by Pixeluna that I recently purchased.

It’s funny, for a long time I was hesitant to buy her. I would go back and forth on how much I liked her skin textures, but now that I’ve bought her, I’m glad I did. I really like the way the textures look on every character I’ve put them on so far! I just like to turn up the translucency weight, so the skin tone appears a little darker, then render away…

The idea behind this image is she’s supposed to be a mercenary leader. Even while having to make those life and death decisions, she still stays calm, collected, and relaxed.
